San Antonio Zoo Drive Thru Experience

This is the last week for the San Antonio Zoo drive thru experience. As businesses have been hurt due to coronavirus the zoo in San Antonio came up with a unique way to open it’s doors.

This has never happened before. The San Antonio zoo is 106 years old. At one time you could see the zoo in a cart by donkeys but never by car.

You must stay in your car. However, you can open your convertible or sun roof. On the website it says you must be stay seated but there were several people standing and staff did not say anything. The speed limit is 4 mph.

There are snacks and bottled drinks to to buy. You cannot leave your car and they will bring it to you. They do not take cash — only credit cards. Tickets are only sold online. Buy your tickets here https://sazoo.org/drive-thru-zoo/. 3 days left including today. The cost per car is 60.00. Member price is 32.00.

It takes 30 minutes to an hour to go through the zoo depending how long the line is to get in. We waited 20 minutes to get in and finished in an hour. We arrived around 2 pm. It is open 10 am to 5 pm.

Download sound cloud for a narration while you drive through. Lots of animal facts and…
